Janus Chan - Career Coach, Trainer and TikTok Content Creator

I started my social media marketing journey when I was working in a local pharmaceutical company in 2012. I set up and managed their Facebook page till I left the company in 2015. I turned to Facebook to promote my coaching and training business when I went freelance in late 2019.

2020 was a turning point for me. During the lockdown, many people turned online for entertainment and business. While most people were on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube promoting their business, I hopped on to TikTok to do memes and share occasional motivational tips. I was discovered by TikTok Singapore and was invited to be one of the pioneer content creators to start their education and learning platform - #learningisfun. I build my niche as a TikTok career coach to share tips and mindset on job search and career progression through short videos and TikTok Live sessions. My fun and creative presentation got me featured in The Straits Times in December 2020. I have since garnered more than 21k followers and my highest viewed video has more than 200k viewership. I am the few content creators selected by TikTok to have access to the Creator Marketplace where I can collaborate with brands.

My success on TikTok has driven more clients for my career coaching business and even opportunities to give talks, workshops, and training opportunities to share my success on TikTok.
